Knights of Michael J. Costello Council #6043 KC:September was a productive month. The Tootsie Roll Drive was approved with minor changes. PGK Rich Garcia will be in charge of the church portion and PGK Dave Melander and PGK Mike Machi will be doing the grocery stores. Thanks again for the stand up and be counted attitude of these fine Catholic gentlemen. You can do your portion now by saying "yes, I'll help!" Our Sister City breakfast was held on September 26th. A very big hurray to PGK Joe Jones (the original biscuit and gravy man) and the Brothers Machi. Another great function. October , October, October... This is the month we hit high gear... Oct 1st, Friday...Vietnam Veterans Lunch...call PGK Joe Jones. Oct 2nd, Saturday...PGK Dinner...Dublin Fishery. Oct 23, 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, 30-31...Parish Census...call Rob Csongor to help. Oct 16-17...Tootsie Roll Drive...call PGK Rich Garcia to help at Church, or PGK Dave Melander or PGK Mike Machi to help at grocery stores. Oct 23-30...Red Ribbon Week...call PGK Dave Melander to help. We also have a donut social on Oct 10th. Our semi annual audit was Sept 16th and all went well. We will have copies of the audit available at the Oct meeting. Oct 2nd was the Big Brother/ Big Sister Picnic. Our council provided $250.00 in script for the purchase of food.
