Grand Knight's Message
Hello Brothers of Council #6043:
As I write this, my hope is many of you have received Covid vaccinations or are scheduled to in the near future. I continue to pray that our council can get back together soon for in person fraternity. Who knows? Maybe this will happen before Spring time.
We are in the midst of our crab feed preparations and getting ready for the February 13th event day. Thanks to the many Brothers who have stepped up in their own way to make this event happen. It is our largest, most important fundraiser. Even though we are conducting this as a drive-through event, there are still many moving parts to make this a success. There are more volunteer spots open so please sign up if you can. Be sure to promote the crab feed to your friends and buy some tickets. Last day to order is Sunday, February 7.
I have a special shout out to our Chancellor, Tim Jorgenson, for creating a short video [https://www.kofc6043.org] to promote our council and to hopefully drive more membership. Unfortunately, COVID has put a serious dent in our membership growth this past year. Our council’s long-term viability is only certain if we continue to grow, especially with the younger demographic men our parish. Spread the word to those who are looking for a way to participate in supporting our parish and the parishioners.
Unfortunately, in the past month, we have had many in our council become ill or their family members. We offer up our prayers for quick healing and for comfort. One of the best attributes we have as a council is, we take care of one another.
Blessings to all,
GK Mike Martin
